BIG RED BARN HIGHLAND MEADOWS GOLF COURSE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

The lush sod, wide open spaces, and charming barn make Highland Meadows a perfect country-themed wedding venue. It’s a neat trick that the venue can handle ceremonies in four separate places — on the golf course, inside the barn, and two outdoor spots adjacent to the barn. BIG RED BARN HIGHLAND MEADOWS WEDDING | BRITTANY + LORENZO

A late autumn over-the-top day, bookended by the bride’s parents crafting talents. Dad made that excellent door frame for the couple to exit through, symbolizing the next door of their life. It’s a take-off on the first-foot traditions of Northern Europe about new beginnings. Their loving gift of time and talent also included a seating assignment chart made from an old library card catalog, lots of old doors with patina paint and plenty of photo collages of both fallen relatives and current adventures. Brittany married a fun & active guy. Lorenzo could be a professional dancer at weddings to keep everyone moving. Never still, that boy. MC Johnny Cruz made certain all of the groom’s dance needs were met!

BIG RED BARN HIGHLAND MEADOWS GOLF COURSE WEDDING | ANGELIA + NICK

Since growing up in Wyoming, this bride always dreamed of a barn wedding — but with a bit of style. She inserted sea foam colored accents into the various reds offered up by Highland Meadows. Matt from Amoré DJ cooked up his usual professional MC experience — just the right mix of order and chaos with Matt’s in charge.

Andrea + Erik :: Highland Meadows Golf Course Wedding

It REALLY felt like Summer at Andrea & Erik's big day last Saturday at Highland Meadows in Windsor.  Hot tempatures and big laughs all day with this big Wedding Party! What a treat to run into James Davis who was the guitarist for the ceremony & cocktail hour. We were neighbors with Jim years ago in the little mountain town of Ouray, and he was my daughter Helen's violin teacher for a time. As fate would have it, Helen was photographing Andrea & Erik's wedding with me that day, but she's grown 2 feet and seven years since Jim last saw her. He didn't recognize her! I felt a little sorry for Erik during the ceremony. In 15 minutes, he was accosted by cattail wielding ringbearers, then got the direct eye from the father of the bride, and finally couldn't get the ring on his bride's fingers. Sheesh, this wedding thing is hard work! The reception under the lights lasted long into the night. Thanks to Helen for coming out and getting some great shots. It's nice to have her eye along as she spends fun time with the kids and gets some great portraits.
