ARCHERS POUDRE RIVER RESORT WEDDING | ANDREA + ROBERT
They had been married for a long time. Not officially, but A + R had been a spiritual pair for many years, and most people who met them assumed they were married. This glorious Archers Poudre River Resortwedding was a celebration of their two families and their colorful cast of friends they both had accumulated on the highways of life. Andrea's family were the gracious hosts, and Robert's family provided the music.
WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM OUR FRIENDS
Robert's a musician, so his posse provided sound, ceremony music and a ton of laughs. Andrea comes from the event world, so her besties contributed event management and officiated the emotional waterside ceremony. After a BBQ served on bamboo plates and serving ware, the generations of Robert's family blew everyone away with a dusk-lit cover of The Grateful Dead's "Ripple." I got a little excited and got everyone to join along with the humming part at the end.
FIRE ON THE MOUNTAIN
This day was magical for three reasons. First, no car stress as the whole event from getting ready to the last dance was within quick walking distance. Second, the couple assigned a lot of last-minute decision-making and was thrilled at the ownership their friends and family showed and crafting their respective parts. Third, I didn't have to photograph anyone dancing to the Cuban Slide or Love Shack. Y'know, it's the little things.
